Hitter of the Week - - Veronica Barrientos!
Sophomore
middle blocker Veronica Barrientos of the College of
Saint Mary has been named MCAC Women's Volleyball Hitter of the Week for the
week ending Nov 9.
Barrientos, a native of Omaha, NE, averaged 3.90 kills and 2.00 blocks per game
over three matches last week for the Flames.
Barrientos, who posted a .538 hitting
percentage for the week, had 15 kills and seven blocks in a 3-0 win over
Haskell Indian Nations University on Friday.
Against Park University on Saturday, she had 16 kills, nine blocks and
four digs.
The
Flames finished the regular season with a 13-19 overall record (7-7 MCAC).

Defensive
Player of the Week - Hillary Brown - College of Saint Mary
Freshman defender Hillary Brown of the College of Saint
Mary has been named MCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the
week ending Oct. 26.
Brown (North Platte, Neb.) guided a Flame defense that
recorded a pair of shutouts last week, including a 1-0 win at NCAA Division I
University of South Dakota on Sunday.
CSM also shutout York, 2-0, earlier in the week.
The Flames are 7-7-1 overall this season (2-2-0 MCAC).
