Springboard (Anticipatory Set)
Activities:
T: Using the overhead make a KWL chart about the 4 Native American groups
that are being studied. Move students to the lab. Introduce the web pages
where students will be able to find the answers to the treasure hunt.
S: Working with partners, the students will use the internet links to
locate and copy answers to the treasure hunt questions.
Closure:
Go back to the classroom and complete the KWL chart. Ask questions to
discuss what they learned (using the internet, facts about Native Americans
etc.).
