Curriculum Processes Assignment

1. Investigate the PROCESS with which curriculum decisions are made by your school or school district.

Determine:

When are changes made?

Why are changes made?

What are the steps in the process?

What needs must be addressed (societal, accreditation, mission, etc.)?

Who is involved (teachers, students administrators, curriculum specialists, parents, vendors, others)?

How long does it take to adopt changes?

How are changes implemented?

2. Using Inspiration, create a graphic organizer (flow chart works well) to illustrate the curriculum decision-making process you investigated. Due 4-28.
