Students learn strategies for integrating instructional technology in curriculum planning and implementation. After receiving instruction in their use, students plan learning activities that include instructional media, the Internet, web page construction, production and organizational software, and multimedia programs in classrooms. In addition to computers, students use video equipment, digital cameras, and scanners in preparing their lessons. Methods for managing classrooms with varying levels of equipment are addressed

Requirements

                                      Fall 2008 Student Links

You may use this class to prepare projects for a future class.

Many of you will need to take ENG 562 LITERATURE FOR YOUNG ADULTS FOR TEACHERS in the Spring. You may want to think ahead and make some of the projects you do in this class apply as projects for that class.

Sue took this class in the Spring 2007. In this class, you are required to turn all assignments in using some kind of portfolio. Of course, Sue decided to create a web section on her site for this portfolio. (You are not required to do this) This is the web section she made for  ENG 562

Along with other assignments, you will produce 6 projects to entice student to read a particular book. On this link to my six projects is a Video and a Treasure Hunt. You are required to also write an author study. Sue just turned her author study into a Treasure Hunt on Maya Angelou.

You also will be required to produce a Thematic Unit for a book study. Here is the link to my thematic unit on the book "Sign of the Beaver".

Sue created an Interactive PowerPoint for the Culminating Activity in my thematic unit.

There are also some links to a couple of WebQuest for this Unit.

If you need to take this class, you may want to do some of your projects: Treasure Hunt, WebQuest, Interactive PowerPoint, Video, etc. so that you can use them for this class also.
