Saving in Word 2007
You may want to save your files in version Word 2007 that you will
be using in the lab to a file that is compatible with other versions
of Word.

Download the
First Three Chapters Questions
You will answer any 2 questions from each of the Chapters 1, 2, and
3 for a total of 6 questions. Answer these question completely using
complete sentences, proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. Rename
the file by putting your last name at the beginning of the file and
then send this as an email attachment to your instructor. Each
chapters completed questions will be worth 5 points for a total of
15 points.

BEGIN WEB SITE AND DIGITAL PORTFOLIO
(Most will be
done in class. You will need to write what you want on your top

In
this class you will start a Favorite Links page on your website. You
will continue to add web site links to this page throughout your college
experience. When you have completed your degree you will have
a good resource of web links.

Microsoft Word to create this. Copy and Paste the web address into
the word document and then write a brief description of the web site. You
must have at least 3 good web sites.

EASY GRADE PRO
You will need to spend at least 30 minutes evaluating this software.
You will be required to set up a class and enter grades. You must do
this without teacher assistance, however, you may work in groups.
This exercise is done, because often, as a teacher, you will be given software to use and be
expected to learn how to use it yourself.
This activity is worth 10 points for
participation. Point will only be given to students who are actively
participating in the group for the whole 30 minutes.

SMART BOARD
After a brief demonstration of the Smart board, students will use this
tool to present their Graphic Organizers to the class.
This activity is worth 10 points for
participation. Points will only be given to students who present and
also listen attentively, respectfully and professionally to other
students while they are presenting.

PODCASTS
Because of our limited time, there will not be a Podcast activity.
But there will be a brief demonstration in class on Podcasting. You
will be expected to be attentive to this presentation (this means no
working on other assignments, checking email, ect.) 10 Points will
only be given to students who listen attentively, respectfully and

Profiles of Great African Americans
This short video was created for the Literature for Young Adults
class. It is a short commercial to promote a book in the classroom
library. It was created in Movie Maker and uses mostly pictures and
music.
Alzheimer short
documentary
This presentation was actually produced as a short DVD so the
quality streaming is not as good as what it was originally. The
graphs and charts don't show as well. This is a combination of
video, music, graphics, and charts.
Wonder
This was created for a Christmas Presentation at Church. This video
uses mostly pictures, images and music.
Getting Started with Movie Maker
This is a link to Microsoft's site where there is a whole list of
video tutorials including how to capture your video from your
