| Monday, June 9, 2008 |
Today was like the first day we actually start doing some
activities!! We did a scavenger hunt around campus and we got
to see a
lot of this place. It was really exciting and fun but we
soon got really
tired. After that we went to Yoga which was pretty funky since we started
talking about toes =]. We actually eat a lot here so we might look a
little chubbier when we get back ha! We swam and pretty much hanged out all
together! =^.^= |

Well....today we woke up
really early. heehee. we had to be awake by 7:30 and get ready to go to
breakfast. After breakfast we went to class and we had technology first and
then Science. We thought it was so much fun! ^.^ But we also have a field
trip to go to as well. We went to Chalco Hills and started talking
about the
river and how it gets polluted and how fishes can die.
It was a whole bunch
of fun. We then came back to campus and took a break and then to dinner.

wow! we really don't have much
time in class today only because they have shortened our classes and our
lunch. want to know why? THE ZOO!!!!!! We got backstage passes basically! It
was so awesome!! Very GNARLY!! heehee. But yeah, we went to
the zoo and we
went behind the scenes and got to see giraffes and sharks and even tigers up
close. now how awesome is that! At 5pm we were already here on CSM, taking a
break because all of us were extremely exhausted!!!! During dinner time we
had some latina ladies eat with us. but we didnt get to finish our talk
with
them because of the tornado. we all went to the basement
and stayed there
for a very long time. Some of us couldnt get up only cause we were cramped
up. heehee but yeah um...... i guess thats it for today. so ciao!!! =^.^= |

Today was a very
extremely fun day. We went to the heartland
park in downtown omaha and we had some
latina women come
and talk to us about their lives and what
they do. they were all very
interesting to listen to. they helped us understand more
than what we used to. after the park we went
back to CSM and
we rested for a while and headed to a self
defense class. boom
baby!!! but yea, and um we had a pizza party
and we had a
special guest come in and talk to us and his
name is Felipe. he is
Maria Luisa's nephew. how cool is that! HE
LOOKS JUST LIKE STEVE FROM BLUE'S
CLUES!!!! heehee!! =^.^= |

well right now i am in
class with my journal partner. she
is working on our video
and i am working on this. heehee. Today is
our last day of la Latina Academia: Vive Verde.
This is very sad in a way but we all got each
others emails. =^.^= |
