Breakfast was eggs and bacon. Ah, the breakfast of champions!
Learned: the wonders
of the landfill, and we were put to the challenge to write down what we
toss, but we had to wear a mask, gloves and a safety suit because the "air
quality is very unhealthy."
Lunch was Chicken
fingers, and we got to eat with Latina Spokeswomen (ours was Christina
Fernandez, a pediatrician). They had a lot of interesting topics to discuss.
We searched through
the college with teams in a scavenger hunt
Yoga got us all
stretched out, but calmed down with meditation.
Played
Kickball/Soccer with CSI camp
Zumba (like Salsa
dancing) was painful, but we got to relax while painting pots
And of course we
got a full hour swimming in the campus pool. Yay! water-themed sports!!!
In the end we got
to unwind at our dorms. Yawn.... |

Breakfast:
eggs, sausage, and doughnuts. Mmmm, doughnuts....
We got to take a group photo
in our new CSM t-shirts. We even got to do a couple funny photos, too.
We went to Chalco Hills,
where we took a little hike. We saw a couple doe on the trail.
When we got back, we got
to relax, where we straightened our friend's hair. (I'll give you a hint:
JOSE, I miss you Dad. And you too Mom.)
Dinner was some good 'ole
corndogs
Yoga came again, but it
didn't hurt as much as the other day.
We sat down for a small
power point, and a 20 min. presentation.
Lastly, before heading to
bed, we talked about pranks we did to another. It was enjoyable. |

It seems that
our classes were shorter, and so was lunch. All leading up to our marvelous
trip to the Henry Doorly Zoo. Since we were special guests, we got to go
"behind the scenes" and into the "employees only" doors. We enjoyed it all,
but we didn't even see a 1/4 of the actual park. Why, because it was GIGANTO!!!
Still, we were less then a foot away from a giraffe's face. It all depends
on your point of view, I guess.
We got back and relaxed for a
while, and ate dinner. Around the end of dinner, a Tornado Warning was
issued, so we evacuated to the basements. It was then we traveled through
the underground tunnels to the dorms. They were cool and all, but we were
crammed together. At least we got to still have our College and Careers
Panel. But there was no swimming TT^TT.
After heading back to the dorms, after the storm, we relaxed, again, then we
went to bed. |

The highlight
for the day was "suppose" to be a river cruise on the Missouri, but since
the tornado last night, and trees are floating down the river, we couldn't
go, for safety reasons. So, we went to the Hartland Park, where we ate lunch
with Latina women. All had their own interesting stories.
We got to relax more, then we
took a little "self-defense." They really knew their stuff, but what can we
say: their the Senseis (teachers). They taught us all so much on some Tai
Kwon Do.
Then we got to enjoy time
working on the sites, then we got to have a PIZZA PARTY! Mamamia! Finally,
more relaxing, then bed. |

Today,
we just had to work on finishing our websites, and everything. So far,
things have been ok. There's really not much to put in this journal,
but there's really not much to say, except that we have to do our cruise
today, since they canceled it last time. |
