Education students applying for certification must have completed a bachelor's degree and the specific requirements established by the College of Saint Mary Education Department.  Completion of the education program does not guarantee certification.  Satisfactory performance during student teaching is required for recommendation for certification.  Education students who complete the bachelor's program at the College of Saint Mary are required to complete 47 hours in general education.  These courses are described in the college catalog.
