| Welcome, my name is Alicia George and I am a
Graduate student at
College of Saint Mary, working towards my Masters in Teaching. My
endorsements will be Middle School Social Sciences, Language Arts and 7-12
Reading and Writing. I am currently teaching 7th Grade Language Arts and 8th
Grade Reading at Ralston Middle School. My undergraduate degree was earned at UNL; a BSEd, with a major in Speech Pathology and a minor in Elementary Education/Special Education. During my years at UNL, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of children. I volunteered with the Native American Education Organization and worked one on one with elementary age Native American students in the areas of math, reading, and writing. I also was able to work within a Level 3 BD school, working with 4th graders. After college I taught in an Early Toddler and Preschool Room, and was promoted to Center Director. Through my years of experience I have learned many valuable lessons, and want to continue to expand my knowledge and ability. I want to use that knowledge to help educate our young people, to make a difference in their lives, to inspire them to achieve, and to become all that they can become.
