As an educator I believe all students have the ability and the right to learn.
Although all learners do not have the same ability, therefore adaptations
can and must be made to ensure the success of all students present in a class
room.
My personal philosophy is that
educators must set there students up for success; A successful student is
one who works up to his or her potential and is the best they can be. In
order to make certain students are successful teachers must be
organized and prepared. Also the instructor must organize and
prepare students. Teachers must give explicit instructions, encourage
students, manage behaviors immediately and consistently, and be flexible.
The classroom is a place that constantly bombards students with information,
such organization will help children handle the demands of being in a social group
and academic learning situation.

Students are always learning, not only in the classroom
but in the home, and out in the community. Students must be taught not
only subject matter but also skills that will cross over into other areas of
their lives. Learners should be aware of how material presented in the
classroom carries over into their lives so it can be used to help them achieve
success. Teaching and learning are life long processes. I consider
it a teachers job to keep up with current subject material, teaching
strategies, and current issues students face.
I believe materials should be presented to students in
a variety of ways. Presenting the same materials in different ways will
cover different learning styles present in the classroom. Also presenting
different materials in a variety of ways keeps your learners interested and
provides opportunities different learning styles present.
