Teaching Portfolio

"It is not what is poured into the student, but what is planted that counts."                                                              -Unknown

Welcome!  My name is Angie Lohaus.  I am a recent graduate from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE, graduating with a Master of Arts in Education.  I was born and raised in Omaha and attended college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication, with a business minor.  Currently, I am teaching seventh grade reading at Norris Middle School in the Omaha Public School district.

Teaching is a second career for me.  Prior to deciding to pursue a career in education, I spent 18 years working in the credit card processing industry.  Throughout my earlier career, I was blessed to have worked with a variety of very talented people and who helped me develop strong interpersonal and communication skills, which will help me become an effective teacher.
