I am an Omaha, Nebraska native and the youngest of six
children. I was married in July, 2009 and am expecting my first
child in May. I attended McGill University in Montreal and
completed my Bachelor of Arts in biology at the University of
Nebraska in Omaha. I am currently enrolled in the Master of
Arts in Teaching program at the College of Saint Mary and upon
completion will be endorsed at the secondary and middle school
levels in natural science and at the middle school level in
social science. I look forward to a career in education!
I love to travel and have lived in Germany and Japan and have visited South Africa, China, most of Europe, Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands. I also love nature and animals and have always had a household full of pets and spend a lot of time outdoors. I am an avid birdwatcher and an active member of the Audubon Society where I am part of the hospitality crew. Besides loving science, I also love all of the arts. I often go out to watch live music or view galleries and I like to sew, draw, and listen to music at home. Gardening is fast becoming a new hobby of mine and I am very interested in growing my own food. |
