Acting Out in Math

The Life Cycle of a Tree

The students will be studying human life cycles and comparing them to the life cycle of a tree.  They  will be doing research about life cycles and then creating trees at different stages within their groups.

Don't Throw That Out!

We will be researching recycling and discussing the importance of recycling.  The students will then create pictures of the recycling process.  Please feel free to discuss this at home with your child.

Brush, Brush, Brush Your Teeth

This week we will be discussing teeth brushing, the correct way to do it, and its importance to our health.  The children will be creating teeth with egg cartons and practicing their teeth brushing skills.  We will also be keeping track of  lost teeth on our participatory bulletin board.

One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove,

what kind of house I lived in, how much I had in my bank account,

nor what my clothes looked like.

But the world may be a little better because

I was important in the life of a child.
