Teaching Philosophy
|
The philosophy I will provide for students is the
reflections I’ve had with my own teachers who embodied genuine
passion for teaching.
I will reach students integrity towards education to
provide a continuous set of values and instill positive morals.
The objective of my
teaching is for students to become active learners where they
can exercise their critical thinking skills and communication.
I want students to be empowered by their peers and to
empower themselves. They
will learn to be leaders and mobilize their decision-making
skills.
Communication with families is the foundation for these
objectives to be accomplished and I will make sure I am
available to provide this.
The classroom I will
provide for my students is a home that is highly interactive,
gives them the confidence to learn and the hope to be what they
dream of. The
classroom will have motivational quotes they can apply to their
daily events such as:
“Watch your thoughts;
They become words.
Watch your words;
They become actions.
Watch your actions;
They become habits.
Watch your habits;
They become character.
Watch your character;
It becomes your destiny.”
-Frank Outlaw
In Language Arts I will provide services for students to go see experience live plays and poetry. I will diversify their minds with people of our world to express their knowledge of events that have been a positive and negative influence. Students will learn that everything we gain is not always engaging but a lesson to not forget.
In H
“A teacher’s first
priority is to get the students to work, not to take roll.”
(Harry K. Wong, The First Days of School)
The principle in this statement is that your students
should be engaged the minute they walk in that door as I will be
standing right there to greet them and have an anticipatory set
ready for them to begin. By following this principle, students
will immediately to connect within’ their environment, their
lesson and their teacher.
Learning is a progression that is guided by a teacher to
a student where they can achieve at their highest personal and
academic potential. |
