Why Learn Math?

Only 7 weeks until this semester is over!  I sent progress reports home with the students on Monday, 6 November.

I still emphasize homework. Math is cumulative, so it is very important to do the daily homework.  Students have 5-10 minutes to begin homework in class and I walk around to see that students are beginning their assignments.  It is very important to at least try ALL homework problems.

We start each day with any questions on the previous night's homework.   Students may ask questions as well as correct their homework prior to grading.  If a student has more than 2 or 3 questions, then I advise the students to make time to see me-- I am also available to answer questions before school (8:00-8:30), during homeroom, during study skills, and after school (4:07-4:30).

I update grades on-line at least once a week.  You can check grades your student's grades:

- on line using parent connect or

- call/email me to ask for a grade report

You can contact me at school ((402) 293-4260) or by email at brown_mission@yahoo.com.
