TPR LESSON PLAN
Title: Ten Little Snowmen

Author: Christiana Udebor

 Grade: 6

 Integrated Disciplines:  Language Art (Listening)

 NE Standards 8.4.1:  By the end of the eighth grade, students will identify information gained and complete tasks through listening.

Objectives:

bullet To use listening skills in practical settings
bullet To follow multi-step oral direction
bullet To adapt listening strategies for specific purposes.

Assessment:

Have students describe the characteristics of snowman

 Materials:

bullet Computer
bullet Paper
bullet Crayon

Procedures: The teacher will show students pictures of the four season of the year

Activities:

1.      Have students click the arrow button and follow direction.

2.      Have students give the snowman a hat

3.      Have students pick arms for snowman

4.      Have students give snowman a scarf

5.      Have students give snowman a eyes to see

6.      Have students give snowman nose to smell

7.      Have students give snowman mouth to sing

8.      Have students sing the snowman song

 Closure:  Have students form a circle while they all demonstrate and sing the song

One little, two little, three little snowmen

Four little, five little, six little snowmen

Seven little, eight little, nine little snowmen

Ten snowmen learning to read

LEA LESSON PLAN
Title: Snapshots of my life

 Grade: 6

 Integrated Disciplines:  Language Art (Writing)

 NE Standards 8.2.3:  By the end of the eighth grade, students will revise and edit descriptive composition.

Objectives:

bullet To edit using standard English conventions
bullet To use legible writing
bullet To use established criteria to evaluate their own writing

Activities:

Take about 13 pictures of meaningful things, people or places in your life. Some examples might be your home, family, a store you shop at to buy candy on the way from school, neighbors, yard, pet, a tree, a room, a special toy or gift from someone. Use your imagination. Remember you are going to be writing about all of the pictures you take, telling me about it and why it is an important part of your life.  You have 2 days to use it also. We will spend next week writing about our pictures and setting up our photo books.

SIOP Lesson Plan

 Grade: 4

 Subject: Math

Lesson Topic: The Easter Count-Rightly Dividing

 NE Standards: 8:2:2:1 by the end of eighth grade, students will add, subtract, multiply, divide decimals and proper, improper, and mixed fractions with uncommon and common denominators with and without the use of technology.

 Content Objectives:

bulletTo divide two digit numbers.
bulletTo divide evenly into groups and write a division sentence.

Language Objectives:

Students will draw picture that demonstrates a number story that they have created. They will need an equation written on their paper that reflects their picture story.

Key Vocabulary:  Dividend, divisor, quotient

Supplementary Materials:

bullet Basket or container for each child.
bullet Packet of Grass for every 3 students.
bullet Four eggs for each student. (Plastic kind that come apart)
bullet 1 bag of jellybeans
bullet 1 bag of chocolate eggs

Procedures: Revision of the some multiplication problems and state the relationship between multiplication and division.

Activities:

Each student needs a basket or container, and pencil and paper on their desk.
Have students count the number of students in the room and write "number of students" on their paper.
Have Students, one at a time, place 1/3 of a bag of grass in their basket.

Have students count the number of bags used and record on their paper.
Show the students the different number sentences they could write.
Give each student 4 Easter Eggs.
Have students tally 4 on their paper for students.
Have students write the number four for each student under the tally marks, and count the tally marks and add the numbers and see if they get the same answer.
Review/Assessment: Have students write the math equation for the number of students’ times the number of eggs.
Have students write the math equation for the number of eggs divided by the number of students.
Have students repeat this process for the number of jellybeans, and the number of chocolate eggs.
