I attended NETA 2005. I went to a presentation on digital photography. A lady who has only been doing digital photography seriously for about a year gave the presentation. This was very reassuring because her pictures looked great, and she had only been working at it for about a year. I felt like I could learn to take pictures just as good with some practice. She discussed the correct way to take pictures. She said the best way to take a picture is not to take it straight on, instead to take the picture at an angle. She also discussed many different ways to include photography with your students. I felt like I learned a lot from this presentation. It is not as hard as I thought to take nice looking pictures. I hope to someday invest in a digital camera, and I hope to use it in my future classroom.
I attended NETA 2005. I went to a board session. This was several different people who had done a variety of interesting things to integrate technology. I heard Tammie Donahoe discuss SETA. She had a video on SETA. I also listened to a lady whose class did a presentation on African animals. It was very interesting. Each student had a letter in the alphabet, and picked an animal from Africa starting with that letter. Each student did research on the animal. As the final to this lesson the class made up a rap. It was very neat. This was a good idea, and I would use this idea as a future lesson for my class. The board sessions had a lot of great information. There were definitely some ideas I would use in my future classroom.
