Without education, where would our children be in the world?  I think that the philosophy of education relies on the teachers, students, the purpose of education, the setting of the education taking place, and the goals that both the students and teachers want to achieve.  A teacher is there to share their knowledge with the students and to be a respected role model for them.

Teachers want to be a positive influence on their students and to guide them in the right direction.  I would have my class; work with another class on reading or some other subject.  If they work with younger students, then they could possibly be good role models for them.  My students would also gain the knowledge that if they try their hardest, they will always to their best.  When I work with children, I will handle the situations with love and care.  I might have to be sensitive, worry about their needs, and trying not to hurt their feelings.

Some  classroom management materials I would use in my room is encouragement, appropriate learning environment, interactive teaching strategies, being fair, creating transition routines, praise, humor, using "Character Count Pillars", using color tabs, setting classroom rules or limits, challenging children’s cognitive abilities, designing lessons for varied learning styles, talking quietly, and a classroom schedule.

My room would look like a great place to be and learn in.  It would be full of colors, activities, words, and games.  It would fulfill the students’ imaginations.  I would want my room to feel warm, comfortable, and exciting.  I would want the students to feel comfortable in my room and to enjoy coming to school every single day.   I would also change the seating arrangements, switch the decorations, and move items around at least once a month.

I love seeing the smile on a child’s face after they have achieved a goal, learned something new, or they just have done something incredible.  I would let my students know that I am there for them, not only in the classroom.  I would go out there and interact with the kids, play outside during recess with them, coach the school team, go to the band or dance recitals, and get them to look up to me as a role model.  If I notice that they are upset, then I would go up and talk to them.  I want to be a teacher that the students enjoy being around and respect.

A family's role is vital when it comes to their child's education.  Teachers and families must work together to provide each child with the best education.  Families need to know what is going on in their child's education because they are their main support at home.  I will have an open door policy, so parents can come talk to me any time about anything.

As an educator I want the children to get the best education I can give them!!
