Introduction
You have been selected to go on a
fictional trip to Italy as a foreign exchange student. Above is a map of
Italy. Please pick either Siciliy, Umbria, or Tuscany, explain why you
would like to visit it and report to the class on that area. Focus on the
reason why you would like to visit this particular area include information on
the history, culture and area of interest specific to this region.
The Task
Please complete a PowerPoint slide show
and present the slides to the class. Be sure to include the following
about your region:

The Process
The following lays out the structure of
this assignment
- You will be assigned in groups of three.
- Each group will pick an area to report on, with teacher approval.
- Once the area is decided, each of you will pick one of the three areas on
which to report.
- Assemble information independently on your specific area including but not
limited to the following: photographs, facts, and website links.
- As a group, develop an appropriate PowerPoint presentation that
incorporates all of your research.
- Give an in-class presentation in which each group member participates.
For each specific area, links have been provided from which to begin your
research. Please note, your research should not be limited to these sites
and should include outside information from your text, the encyclopedia and
other areas found on your own.
